Canadian lumber production in September reached 1.9 billion board feet, highest since April, and vaulted production through three quarters to 17.1 bbf. Year-to-date output in British Columbia gained 7%, to 9.3 bbf, as national output gained 2%. September was 4% above August levels and 3% above year-earlier levels. Production in Quebec gained 26% from August to September, but the province was 7% behind year-to-date levels, more than any other province, at 3.3 bbf. 12/5/2011
